Heber Valley

For my father -in-law's birthday each year we have a family camp out. For the last few years we have camped at the Heber Valley Camp. It is a great place and we always have a great time there. This year, due mostly to a lot of colds and such going around, only about half of the Hatch Family were able to go...ya, just 26 of us:) We still managed to have a lot of fun though. Friday night we were able to do one of their challenge courses. The kids always like these. The first challenge was getting our group from one side of the "spider web" to the other without touching the web. Some of the kids were pretty easy, but by the time it got to the bigger ones, we ran into trouble. I think Mike and Kyle got quite a workout lifting the kids:)

Nathan getting pulled throughThe next challenge was going up a swinging wood ladder to a rope crosswalk that led you to a zip line. The younger kids didn't get to do this one, but the kids that did were very brave.

Saturday morning we were able to spend some time on the lake with canoes and paddle boats. It's beautiful up there. Luckily it was early enough that it wasn't too hot yet.

Kids making craftsHeber Valley is such a fun place to camp. We really liked our site this year. We had three cabins and a small pavilion area. Plenty of room and shade. We love this tradition and we love the Hatch Family--Lucky us!

Wow! Looks like it was SO much fun! Wish I could cool off in that lake right now!
