It's Official....

I have a child that is spoiled rotten.

Jacob is finally back from his 13 day adventure through Wales and England. He had an amazing time, of course. We had a family night tonight so Ron and Jacob could show off all their photos and stories. How weird it is to me that Jacob has now seen all these places that I have yet to see. They spent a total of three days in London, getting to see most of the sights there. They spent the rest of the time in Wales (with a one day detour to Liverpool:). They saw castles galore, spent time on the beach, visited tiny Welsh towns with big graveyards, and ate a lot of fish and chips. Jacob got teased in a Sunday school class in Northern Wales for having a funny accent and Ron, of course, found someone who remembered him from his mission that he served about 45 years ago. Ron collected about 100 names to add to his family history records with 4 of them still in need of temple work--thus, it was a successful trip.
Jacob's highlights:
*Getting to see where the Beatles first performed (in Liverpool)
*Seeing the Crown Jewels
*Meeting up with the Frandsens for a day (and night--Thanks Frandsens!)
*St. Paul's Cathedral
*Getting to fly Business class from London to Chicago on the way home.
Low lights:
*jet lag
*Sleeping in the airport on his last night there.

*Not getting to go to Paris. (pre-booked tickets for the train from London to Paris were $200, last minute tickets were $500--one downside to being free and easy with your itinerary) Jacob and Big Ben

So, like I said before, I have one very spoiled kid....and one amazing father-in-law to help make him that way. They had an adventure of a lifetime. Lucky ducks!
