September

September was a mellow month around here. Just a lot of normal day to day living.

Hike up to Lake Catherine
One Saturday we went with for a hike up Big Cottonwood Canyon with Greg and his boys. It was great to get out and do an easy fun hike.  Calvin and Levi joined in on the fun too.  It was beautiful.

Snow?
I don't know why we are always surprised when the snow comes early because it does..every year.  We are just not ready for it. On the 20th we got a bad hail storm down in the valley, but the mountains got snow.

Phantom
For our birthdays this year Ellen took Dina, Anne, and I to see Phantom at Hale Center Theater. It was a great girl's night out.  Thanks Ellen!

Jacob moves back to Utah
At the end of the month Jacob's apartment lease was up.  He decided that living in CA was just too expensive. So the last weekend in September Matt and I drove to LA and helped Jacob bring his belongings back to Utah.  We left Friday night and drove to Vegas, spent the night with Dennis and then woke up early and drove to LA.  When we got there Jacob had everything ready to go so it was pretty fast getting the truck loaded. After eating lunch and talking with his landlord we got back on the road.  We made it back to Las Vegas with plenty of time to go out to a birthday dinner with Mary and Dennis.

Jacob had even cling wrapped his wooden furniture
On Sunday after running a few errands for Dennis and Mary we made the drive back home. I am sure Jacob is going to miss living in Hollywood and having access to amazing movie theaters, but we are happy to have him back at home with us.
