Earlier in day Jacob had his second cross country meet--the BYU Invitational @ BYU. So, we loaded up and went down to cheer the team on. We had a great time. There were quite a few schools there and hundreds of kids in each race. The college teams ran too. We were very impressed with the UCLA girls team...those girls are fast! At a cross country meet the races are 5ks--3.1 miles. Jacob, who is a JV runner, finished in 22:29--taking about 25 seconds off his time from the meet on Wednesday. He's pretty excited to be running cross country again this year and he hopes his season won't be cut short like it was last year.
We had a lot of fun cheering the runners on and hangin' out at BYU. That is one of the benefits to living here...we are close enough to go hang out on the BYU campus when we want. After the meet we went to the Creamery--what's a visit to BYU without the Creamery? We also got in a short visit to Great Grandma Hatch. It was a fun day cheering the Cougars (and Beatdiggers) on. WAHOOO! I just had to say that one more time:)

Kyle was working at the meet and saw Jacob and talked to him. And yes, yesterday was a great day to be a cougar!
I agree! That was so fun to watch the cougars on Satuday! What a great day! And congrats to Jacob, sounds like a great race.
Hey! I saw on facebook that Melanie McAllister was at the BYU invitational in Provo for her son's cross country team...did you run into each other? :) Cute fall background!
