Busy weeks deserve fun weekends.
This weekend was fun. Friday was Scrapbook USA at the convention center here in Sandy. This year we decided not only to shop the great deals, but spend the day/night scrappin.
Ya, good times are always had with Ellen and Dina...add in caffeine and chocolate and you've got a scrapbooking night that will be worth scrappin:-)
Scrappin' was great, but it did make it harder to wake up at 4:30am Saturday to start our next adventure....climbing Mt. Loafer. Matt, Nathan, me (the teenagers were all busy with very good excuses and, they had been on the hike before...), Grandpa Hatch, Uncle Neal, and Mike and Jen with their 4 kids-Brooklyn (11), Matthew(10), Holly(7), and Owen (5). And let me just say, it was a bit chilly at O dark thirty when we started to hike. The sun had just peeked it's morning rays out, but we didn't see the sun on the trail for a few miles. Christmas songs were sung and the sun was welcomed with great accord when it finally showed up on the trail...and yes, 8 hours later it was cursed:)

After about 6 and a half hours on the trail, we finally made it to the top. Elevation 10,687.
The views from the top of mountains are always spectacular. You feel like you are at the top of the world, probably because you are:)

Owen, Holly, and Nathan We were pretty proud of these three little guys making it to the top of this big mountain (It's the big one a the south end of Utah Valley by Payson and Spanish Fork). It was hard work, but as you can see, they made it with similes on their faces...well at least for most of the time.

I should really hang out with you. You just did two of the things I really enjoy and don't get enough in. Glad it was a great weekend.
