Aaaaahhhh....Summer...

Aaahh so summer finally decided to arrive and so far it's off to a great start. I do have to say I am really enjoying being off work. I can at least stay close to being caught up with laundry. We've been able to have some great late nights and some amazing sleep ins. That right there says good summer to me:) We started the summer off with my parents still here then as they left Matt's sister Paula and her family from Pella, Iowa came. We've been to the copper mine, Sweets Candy factory, swimming and hiking. We've started our daily to do lists. Ya, I'm the mean mom that makes them do work before they play with friends or have screen time. Last week Miranda and Jacob went with our stake youth to do a pioneer trek. Pushing/pulling handcarts 25 miles across Wyoming dressed as pioneers. Look how cute they looked the morning they left. As you can guess, they didn't come back looking as clean. This was Jacob's second time getting to go. It's hard. Miranda came back with many blisters, purple toes and a rash on her leg from having an allergic reaction to some bushes she walked through. It's hard, but an amazing learning and growing experience. We decided to put together puzzles this summer. It's been a fun filler thing to do. We are on our third. This was our first. The kids had a lot of fun putting it together. It had been awhile since we had put a bigger puzzle together.

Probably the best thing about this summer has been all the lazy time....reading books in the hammock..hanging with family...holding my baby nephews...and watching hours of stupid movies/tv shows. Aaahhh..summer....I love it!
