What a crazy full fun week we had. So crazy I didn't have time to write a posting. On Wednesday Matt's youngest sister Alice entered the MTC so she could start preparing to serve a mission in Concepcion, Chile. She will be gone for a year and a half---we will miss her! Matt, of course, is totally excited she got called to serve in Chile because he served his mission in Vina Del Mar, Chile (just a little north of where Alli will be). It's pretty amazing that number 1 and number 12 in the family will be going to the same country. We are all so excited that Alli made the decision to go on a mission. Paula, Matt's sister, flew in from Iowa and his brother Richard flew in from Virgina with his wife Jen and son Max. So, the first part of the week was spent hanging (partying) with Alice. After we all said good-byes to Alli and wished her well in learning Spanish, it was time to celebrate Max. At the end of last summer Rich and Jen were blessed to have a newborn Max join their family. A few weeks before they came out here to visit with Alli the adoption was finalized. So, Rich and Jen decided to bless Max while they were here. We were also able to go to the Salt Lake temple and see Max get sealed to Rich and Jen. We were so thankful to be able to take part in these great events. So it was a family filled week. Filled with lots of happy and some sad. Jacob missed a bit of it because he was busy hiking in the Narrows in Zion's canyon. He survived the 22 mile hike.

I'm so glad you posted those pictures Lindy! Although it makes me feel even more sad we weren't there for everything. It was such an amazing week for the Hatch family!
