So how many of you can spell that right off the tip of you're tongue? Well gee, I guess a lot of you who read my blog can since you are from there!! Well, I never got to talk about the rest of our Albuquerque trip. The reunion only took up about three hours of the 5 day trip, so there's more to tell. We spent an extra night in Monticello, UT on our way down so we could stop at Mesa Verde. I realized that Matt and the kids had never been there before. It was fun and they were sufficiently impressed. We didn't have time to tour the biggest ruin, but we did at least get to go through one of the cave dwellings. It's pretty cool those are still around.
We stayed a Bret and Debbie's house--my parents home is still under renovation. The kids had a grand time just hanging out there anyway. The boys loved the sand in the backyard. They dug a hole all the way to China and then buried themselves in it.
One day we went fishing. Nathan just had to get some fishing time in with Papa. The pond was not stocked too well though, so they didn't end up catching anything. Oh well, as soon as Nathan saw the train that went to the zoo and aquarium he was more then ready to hit those places. The boys had a lot of fun. Nathan loves spending time with Grammy and Papa and his three Sant cousins. Since they are all boys, they have a lot of cars, tracks and general boy toys. Oh and all those video games!
We missed Miranda though. She stayed back home, spent a night camping with the Hatch family and then spent the rest of the time hanging with the Walter family. The biggest reason she stayed behind was to go to the American Idol concert. Which she loved! She got David Archuleta's signature--and all the other top 10 idols. Here she is with Brooke White.

And lucky for us Steve had grilled hamburgers waiting for dinner when we got home Tuesday night. It was nice not to have to figure out what to cook as soon as we walked in the door. Thanks Steve! So, it was a good vacation and we're glad to be home and have a few weeks before the "big" vacation.

we did that zoo-to-aquarium train thing when we were there too. Pretty durn hot, but trains are worth any sort of discomfort if you're a wee one.
