Ok so it's time I just post something. Sorry it's been awhile. There are some unhappy events happening in the extended family that may or may not at some point be brought up. They have been hindering my desire to do much of anything for the past week. Anyway.....
Last Saturday in the spirit of trying to keep things "normal" we went and played. We started the day off at the Mountair Mile. Tyler competed in the mighty mile. He biked for one mile and then ran for a mile to the finish line. He did great! He earned himself 1st place in his age division. Nathan did the mini mile. He rode his bike for a half mile and then ran for the rest of the mile. He did great too with a quick recovery from a fall on the bike. The boys had a lot of fun. It was a small event, but we are glad we did it.
Later after the race we hiked to Stewart Falls as a family. That is such a beautiful hike! We had not hiked there since we lived in Provo 14 years ago. It was a lot of fun and not too long just 4 miles round trip. Nathan is getting to be a great hiker. He walked almost the whole way. Tyler couldn't resist going under the waterfall and took Matt and Jacob along with him. All in all it was a really fun day and the kids got a lot of good exercise time. Needless to say Nathan slept well that night.
