2010

Now that my busy week is just about over, I have a few minutes to recap 2010. In essence, write the letter that I did not include in our Christmas card. So, what did 2010 hold for us?

*Matt:
-summited 25 peaks in one summer
-broke his other arm
-got to introduce Tyler and Nathan into the wonderful world of backpacking
-is still the ward clerk

*Lindy:
-had surgery for the fist time (in February)
-started teaching first grade
-saw Phantom finally! (thanks Kimbo:)
-is still the primary president and Lovein' it:)

*Jacob:
-performed with the Utah all-state band
-spent two weeks gallivanting around England and Wales with his Grandpa Hatch
-turned into an adult (yep, he's 18 now)
-realized how long it takes to fill out college applications

*Miranda
-made her first call to 911-hanging upside down no less:)
-ran on the Jordan High track team with Jacob
-got a part in Jordan High's musical production of "Bye Bye Birdie" -is learning the fine art of parallel parking

*Tyler:
-got his first limo ride--in a hummer limo no less!
-learned how to fly a small plane (scout camp)
-started junior high and playing the clarinet
-mastered the Rubik's cube

*Nathan:
-spent a lot of time playing soccer
-loves to sing opera (especially behind closed bathroom doors:)
-has finished the first three Harry Potter books and is now on the fourth
-climbed his first "big" mountain- Mt. Loafer

*As a family:
-enjoyed a visit from the Sant's
-had a FUN mini trip to Vegas
-had one car get totaled--ending up buying three cars after (bought a replacement mini van, sold that one and bought an older mini van and a car for the teenagers). We now own three Toyotas-Carolla, Camry, and Sienna
-enjoyed a great visit from grammy and papa
-sadly, had our BIG family trip of the year cancelled
-hiked and camped too many times to count:)

Overall, a pretty good year. Crazy, but good. As I spent this week attending concerts and activities, I marveled at how blessed we are. We have amazing friends and neighbors. We have been blessed with some pretty amazing and talented children. Our kids are able to go to some great schools. Matt and I have stable jobs. We have a nice house and some dang cute and fun kitties.
Life is Good:)
